Basic information
When you look for Jasná, look right in the centre of Slovakia. The resort covers the northern and southern slopes of Chopk - the second highest mountain of the Low Tatras. The resort is set in magnificent nature of the Demänovská valley, welcoming tourists in any season with its abundancy of natural beauty.
Downhill runs
Skiing on the longest runs in Slovakia in the ski resorts of Chopok North (Záhradky, Jasná, Otupné) and Chopok South (Srdiečko, Kosodrevina). Jasná boasts 28 km of downhill runs (thereof 11km with artificial snow available, 1,5 km lit by night), 1 chair lift with six seats, 3 chair lifts with four seats, 1 chair lift with two seats, 1 cable car, and 16 tow lifts, achieving the overall uphill lift capacity of 20,150 persons per hour. More experienced skiers can take up the challenge of the steep ravines of Dereše, Ďumbier and Chopok, where especially the ski-alpinists and snowboarders can show their courage. You can look down on all this from the bird´s perspective, and you can also try the winter paragliding!
Snowboard park
The Burton Snowboard Park, built in the 2004 season in the ski resort of Jasná Low Tatras, is the most state-of-the-art and best quality snowboard park in Slovakia. The snowpark can be used by both snowboarders and freestyle skiers. The park features 12 rails and one medium-sized jump - fun box. All rails are made of high-quality zinked metal coated in high-quality plastic material with good sliding properties. The park is divided into two parts. The upper part with small rails is intended for beginners. The lower part with bigger and more difficult rails is intended for advanced enthusiasts. The entire park is very well accessible, served by a lift and a cable car.
Year-round entertainment
Also in summer, Jasná is a busy resort full of exciting things to do. Mountain biking, rafting, horse riding - these are just a few examples from the extensive offer. Those who like to roam in the varied mountain environment breathing fresh air will appreciate Jasná´s hiking trails of various difficulty level.
